Facilities
As well as large, bright and airy classrooms, the school benefits from having its own specialist teaching rooms for music, art, design and technology and ICT, which the boys have access to from Year 3. We also have a well stocked library with all the latest favorites of the boys. As well as for music lessons our school hall is used for assemblies, drama and also the Junior Schools After School Care service.
Boys also have access to a wide range of sporting facilities; these include the hall for physical education lessons at Beardwood Bank, Senior School playing fields, astro-turf and swimming pool, where all boys enjoy weekly lessons. We have good links with Blackburn Rugby Club and East Lancashire Cricket Club, where we practice and play matches in the summer term.
We have forged strong relationships within the local community. The church, St Silas, is used for our Harvest Festival and our Carol Service is held in Blackburn Cathedral.
