Numeracy
In Year 2 the children are taught Mathematics initially through a range of practical methods, and increasingly formal methods of recording their work. The curriculum covers shape, space and measure, numbers and the number system, calculating and using and applying Mathematics. In the first term of Year 2 children are arranged in ability groups. These are flexible groupings which enable teaching to be specifically focussed to childrens individual needs.
