The Student Council

The Student Council aims to respond to the students needs and ensure they have a voice in how the school develops. It meets regularly to discuss issues relevant to the students and to have an input into new initiatives in school. For example, this year the Council is currently discussing several initiatives such as reviewing the anti-bullying policy so that everyone has had an input in its content, discussing their contribution to the school website so that it reflects their views and perceptions of school and looking at ways of improving our school environment.

We believe that an effective School Council can improve student-teacher relationships, increase involvement in school, develop decision making skills and raise students feelings of self-worth and respect. We hope it will empower students by giving them a meaningful voice in life at their school.
