Art and Design

Through the delivery of Art and Design at Key Stage 3 our pupils are allowed to experience a range of artistic activities using a variety of materials and media, tools and equipment. The schemes of work allow the girls to experiment with a range of artistic activity, drawing and painting, designing, printmaking, 3D work including textiles, graphics and ICT.

Many of our girls opt to continue with their Art to GCSE level. We offer the Unendorsed Specification which continues to provide our pupils with the opportunities to work within a variety of areas without having to choose to specialise at this stage. The Art Department feels that this affords the pupils the best possible art education and prepares those who wish to continue to study at AS and A2 Level with a thorough foundation.
