Westholme Association

All Westholme parents and staff automatically become members of the Westholme Association which exists to foster good relations between parents, past pupils and the school and to arrange a wide variety of social and fund-raising activities.

The Committee meets at least once a term. This is organised by the parents. A number of staff from all five Westholme departments serve on the Committee. More information regarding the Westholme Association events can be found by clicking the links on the right hand side. For further information on how to join the Committee, please contact the Chairperson, Mrs Carina Lamb at carina@claytonhall.co.uk or via any school office.

Over the past twelve months the Association has raised an amazing £19,800 at a variety of events, including the Casino Night at Stanley House, the Junior Disco and the Purple Ball at Ewood Park.  The school shopping list was as diverse as ever but the Association has again achieved its aim of providing the children of Westholme with 'that extra something' to help make their days more fulfilling and exciting, thereby helping them to learn and develop, not just academically but physically and spiritually.  The support from Westholme, parents and pupils is invaluable and the Association thanks everyone who has contributed to its success over the last academic year.

The Westholme Association provides the children of Westholme with some luxury extra items and activities requested by the five school sites.  In addition it contributes to half of the costs of book tokens for the Prizegiving ceremonies for the Girls' Senior School, the Girls' Junior School and the Boys' Junior School.  This year the list of extra items included bean bags, gardening equipment, a weather station,  a science workshop day, a digital microscope, puddle suits and a drum kit (to name but a few!).  The Association was particularly proud to have contributed towards the Boys' School fort, 'Fort William', named in memory of William McGowan.
