Broadcasting with the BBC
Twenty lucky Westholme pupils were selected to take part in the filming of a fifteen minute programme called Extra Time by the BBC for 21CC. This is the BBC’s digital classroom which offers multimedia workshops for schools and community groups.
The girls spent a day at Blackburn Rovers where BBC technicians showed them how to operate cameras and sound equipment. The following day was spent at BBC Salford where the girls learned how to edit. Their film can be seen on the BBC website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/21cc/extratime/
