All Aboard the Poetry Express!
Congratulations to the Beardwood Bank girls who have succeeded in getting their poems published in a new book "Poetry Express - The Coastal Counties of England" this September.
The editorial team from the publishers "Young Writers" chose the poems for their perception, imagination, expression and good use of language, and overall 35 girls have had their work included in the book.
This follows the girls' former success in the 2008 Little Laureates Competition, when the pupils from Westholme Girls' Junior School were awarded £100 as a runners up prize for coming in the top 16 schools in the UK.
