Reception Nativity

This morning, to a full Lecture Theatre, the children in Reception performed their Nativity, 'A Baby Is Going To Be Born'.

The audience was transported to Bethlehem, to the birth of baby Jesus.  The story began with the classic children's Christmas song, 'Little Donkey', and the scene was set. Kings, animals, angels and shepherds shone in their moment on the stage.

The children spoke with clear voices and sang beautifully, leaving not a dry eye in the audience! At the end, the audience joined in by singing the song 'A Christmas Calypso', which was a perfect way to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.!

Special thanks must go to the Reception class teachers for creating a fantastic performance and to Mrs Fielding for her musical expertise. Thank you also to everyone who donated to the collection which is going to the Special Care Baby Unit in Royal Blackburn Hospital.  We raised £211.36.
