Born in a Barn

Children in Year 1 and Year 2 performed their Nativity ‘Born in a Barn’ to a packed Westholme Theatre.  An array of barn animals including Hens, Chicks, Ducklings, Donkeys and Cows adorned the stage in preparation for the birth of the baby Jesus.

The children had been practising hard and it was clear to see that their hard work had been worth it.  Their clear speech, comic timing and wonderful singing voices were to be heard all around the theatre.  The Year 2 stars were ably supported by the talented children in Year 1, who took on roles such as Villagers, Carpenters and Innkeepers to name but a few.

Dancing, singing and even instrumental pieces were scattered throughout the play, with each and every child being involved in one way or another.

Well done to all of the children who were fantastic. Special thanks to the Year 1 and Year 2 teaching and support staff for all of their hard work in putting on such a brilliant performance and to Mrs Fielding for her musical expertise.
