Lancashire Schools' Cross Country Championship Winners
Westholme cross country runners performed exceptionally well at the Lancashire Schools’ Cross Country Championships held at Witton Park on Saturday 6th February.
Congratulations to Beckie Taylor who won the Intermediate Girls’ Race and is the County Champion!
Charlotte Atkinson who finished 4th and Rachel Leech 26th. All three girls helped Blackburn with Darwen gain First Team place.
Katie Buckley finished in 3rd place in the Junior Race with Emma Dean in 58th position. The Junior Team also took First place.
Maddie Ainsworth finished in 5th position, Flora Robson in 23rd and Grace Collum in 37th position in the Year 7 race.
Emma Flanagan ran a very good individual race to finish 4th in the Senior Girls’ Race.
Beckie, Charlotte, Emma and Katie have all be selected to represent Lancashire in the English Schools Championships.
