Y6 Public Speaking Competition
The eighteen finalists of the Year 6 public speaking competition performed their speeches to parents on 24th February, before the winners from both the Girls' and Boys' Junior Schools were announced.
Adjudicator, Miss Alice Jordan, from Kirkham Grammar School had the difficult task of choosing the following winners:
Girls' Junior School
1st place - Lisa Yates with "The Race"
2nd place - Lois Westall with "Lancaster Prison"
3rd place - May Daley with "My Goats"
Boys' Junior School
1st place - Andrew Lee with "The Titanic"
2nd place - Henry Pearson with "The Tour de France"
3rd place - Christian Butschok-Brain with "Ski-ing"
The winners of the Boys' Junior School House Speaking Competition were:
