Year 7 Geographers enjoyed the glorious sunshine and fresh air at Hothersall Lodge Field Study Centre this week. Whilst there, the students put to practise their O.S. map skills which they have been learning this year and successfully orienteered their way around the woodland and meadows. They also observed different types of wildlife and their natural habitats.
The pond dippers found the small lake to be teaming with life and the students were keen to identify the freshwater invertebrates caught in their nets.
They worked effectively in teams to solve various problems and negotiated a tricky low ropes course to develop their agility and communication skills.
