Year 2 finished off their topic on the Great Fire of London with a whole day of exciting activities.
The children arrived at school dressed in their Tudor costumes where they helped Mrs Barrett make London cakes from an original Tudor recipe. Year 2 found out how Sir Christopher Wren redesigned London after the great fire - St Paul’s Cathedral and The Monument being two of the many buildings he designed.
After lunch the children were very excited to witness their very own ‘Pudding Lane’ burn to the ground. The children then wrote their names using a quill and ink just like Samuel Pepys wrote his diary.
