Westholme Crest

Our Nursery building has been thoughtfully built to offer a warm welcome. The building is bright and airy and is enclosed within a secure, multi-surfaced garden.

The enlarged, purpose built space allows us to provide many new co-curricular activities including gardening, Forest School Fridays and 'wake up-shake up' sessions. These new initiatives, along with our current programme of music and dance, will enrich our children's learning further. The children are truly integrated into the whole school environment, with all the opportunities that brings.

The Infant School site comprises of a main building with spacious classrooms used by Year 2 and a newly refurbished Bungalow, used by our Year 1 classes.  It also houses a hall for Physical Education, assemblies, music, drama, lunches and performances. In addition to this, there is a Learning Zone which houses a well stocked library and a fantastic ICT Suite.

An adjoining building contains our secure Pre School unit, with an attractive suite of three connecting rooms.  These lead out onto a covered, safe-surface play space with large surrounding gardens - exclusively for Pre School.

One of our playgrounds consists of an amphitheatre, having been designed with an adventure trail, target area and curriculum enhancements.  The lower playground - Discovery Dell - is a fantastic area for out Infant children to explore, play discover and learn. It is a haven of adventure for our children. It boasts a cycle track, storytelling circle, music wall, different gravel zones, playhouses and has a bark surface with stepping stones made of wood. Flower beds and brightly coloured artwork also help to enhance the Dell; providing the children with sensory zones which stimulate their imagination and play.
