Students take to the stage to perform ‘A Christmas Carol’
The Westholme Senior School production of A Christmas Carol saw Dickens’ classic brought to life. Audiences were wowed by the amazing set and Victorian costumes as the curtain lifted.
The traditional tale was told through a dramatic, yet sometimes humorous narrative and had all the elements of a classic Christmas tale complete with snow falling from the sky!
The audience were totally transfixed. There were some real highlights: Jacob Marley’s ghost appearing to Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim’s touching solo of Silent Night and the chilling ghost of Christmas Future.
The performance drew to a close with Scrooge’s character having been transformed for the better. The whole cast gathered on stage to sing a rousing rendition of We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Theatre-goers left in a fabulously festive Christmas mood.
Well done to everyone, what a brilliant show!
