Pre-School children meet a real Doctor
As part of their topic on ‘People who help us’, Pre-School children welcomed Dr Judah to Billinge House.
He explained what happens when you visit the doctor if you are feeling unwell and showed them how to listen through a stethoscope and take someone’s blood pressure.
The children even got to use a special stamp that the doctor uses to issue prescriptions with.

At Westholme, aspirations were encouraged strongly, along with a clear ethos that working hard was the way to achieve them. It’s an attitude that has been incredibly positive for me.
More than anything, Westholme taught me to be fearless in my aspirations. It was an environment which encouraged me to stay true to myself, and to treasure and cultivate my creativity.
I think that it is extremely important that people aim for the best and keep their aspirations for the future high. Aspirations and dreams are hugely motivating.
