A Royal Celebration!

This year we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style across both the Prep School and Senior School.

Our catering partners Thomas Franks put on lavish celebratory feasts across both sites, giving all of our students a fantastic send off into half term after a term of plenty of work and graft!

Unfortunately due to the weather, the outside street party style barbeque was moved inside at the Senior School to the dining hall. However this didn’t stop the festivities as the tables were adorned with union jack napkins, bunting hanging from the ceiling and red, white and blue balloons. And with burgers and cakes on offer our students tucked in for a well deserved meal.

Over at the Prep School, students and staff alike wowed and put on an fantastic show of commitment to the occasion with their amazing costumes and fancy dress. Each year group has dressed up to represent decades from the Queen’s life, bringing the 1920’s, 1980’s and 1990’s fully to life!

They even learnt dance routines to songs from different decades with a particular highlight being the routine to The Locomotion amongst others. Afterwards, children and staff gathered in the dining hall to tuck into their themed feast fit for a queen. After the meal a triumphant rendition of the national anthem echoed around the hall.

What a fantastic day and a great way to end term – we all had a royally good time!
