Fun at Craft Week 2011
Children attending Craft Week over the summer holidays experienced a taste of the Orient this year. The Eastern theme ran through the whole week, with various craft activities taking place.
They enjoyed making Chinese lanterns out of tissue paper and willow branches, decorating rice bowls and even did a spot of Origami. Other activities included making Terracotta Warriors out of clay (very messy but extremely enjoyable!), painting Kokeshi dolls and tye-dying T-Shirts.
Another highlight was making a giant dragons head!
Everyone really enjoyed the week by the end of it, they had all learnt how to write their name in Mandarin…what an experience!
