An Array of Talent!

Success Outside the Classroom

Congratulations must go to some very special boys in the Junior School who have achieved great things out of school.

Firstly we would like to congratulate Jack Davies (Year 6) for getting back into the Lancashire Cricket Development Squad. His first Lancashire game is next Tuesday. We very much look forward to hearing how he gets on in his up coming matches.

Next we must congratulate Lucas Bradshaw (Year 5) who was one of 8 children from across the country to secure a voice over part in a brand new CBeebies programme. Lucas beat a large number of auditionees to land voice over parts in a new CBeebies programme called ‘Where in the World?’ aimed to help British children develop more cultural awareness of children in different parts of the world. Lucas is extremely excited to be part of this new programme set to hit our screens for the next five years.

Finally, we would like to congratulate Thomas Sheehan (Year 5) who has been trying out as a Chorister at the Cathedral and has also started modelling! In May, Thomas was invited to attend a Children’s Initiation Day with PHA Model and Casting Agency, based in Manchester. The day involved a photo shoot with 3 different outfits and at the end of the session a portfolio of photographs and a website profile were produced. Thomas has now been formally contracted to the agency and is awaiting his first assignment!

Earlier this year, Thomas also came home from school with an invitation to be a Chorister for a day at Blackburn Cathedral. Thomas took the opportunity and is now actively involved with the Boys’ Choir at the Cathedral. He attends the Cathedral twice a week for practice and theory sessions. He is looking forward to his first concert at the Cathedral which will be Last Night of The Proms on Saturday 8th July.

Congratulations to all for these wonderful achievements.
