Animation workshop for Year 5

The girls in Year 5 created their own animated films in an animation workshop

The Year 5 girls at Westholme had a fantastic opportunity to learn all about animation with a visit from Jack Lockhart, from the Bradford National Museum of Film and Photography, who held 4 workshop sessions with them over 2 days. Having watched Wallace and Gromit and Morph for inspiration, the girls made their own plasticine models and filmed short movies using “stop frame animation” and some computer software. They then added a soundtrack to their movies and every girl was able to keep a disc of all the animations at the end of the session. Click here to see some more photos of the workshop.

A big thank you goes to the Westholme Association, who kindly donated the money to pay for the workshops.
