The Great Biology Bake Off

The Westholme School Biology Bake Off

As part of National Biology Week 2014, the Biology Department held a Westholme Biology Bake Off. They were extremely pleased with the response and cakes ranged from plant cells to gruesome eyeballs, kidneys, brains and ‘The dissection of Shaun the Sheep’.
The most delicious-looking cake was Sally Ralphson’s chocolate butterfly and judges were amazed by Ana Bradbury’s functioning Operation Game cake.

Due to the very high standard of cakes, it took the judges an hour to judge the 19 entries. They were judged on ingenuity, creativity and biological accuracy.
