Having started their GCSE course half a term earlier than usual and from home, Year 9 have done a fabulous job of harnessing their creative talents and honing their entrepreneurial skills.
Their task last week was to identify a gap in the market within their local area and produce a business plan and ‘mood board’ or presentation to illustrate their vision. The quality of work submitted has been superb with their ideas including everything from an outdoor cinema, a new multi-cultural restaurant, a day Spa for teenagers to a mobile bike repair business and a football training facility that would run as a social enterprise. The list is endless and clearly demonstrated that they were able to tap into their own interests, experiences and local community to generate unique and individual ideas.
Well done Year 9; no doubt we will see some of you on Dragon’s Den in the next few years!
