Tea party to say farewell to Mrs Griffiths
Only a couple of hours ago, current and former staff gathered together in the hall at Beardwood Bank to say a fond farewell to Mrs Frances Griffiths, who, at the end of term will retire as P.E. teacher at the Girls’ Junior School.
Mrs Croston began the first of the goodbyes by saying what an inspiration Frances had been to all students, before Mrs Laverick presented Frances with her very own school report! It transpires that Frances has great enthusiasm for history (looking at the many trophies the girls have won over the years), could do to read maps more carefully when travelling to sporting fixtures (as she frequently gets lost en route!) and needs some improvement with her IT skills!
As most people will have guessed, the subject she passed with flying colours in was PE. The girls affectionately call her Mrs G – which we all think means Mrs GREAT!
We wish Frances all the best in her retirement – she will be sadly missed!
