Caitlin Slater

Caitlin started Rhythmic Gymnastics in 2015 as a recreational hobby and after competing at the North West Championships in which she placed in both her ball and clubs routines she transferred to an Elite Club in Manchester during 2017 – City of Manchester Rhythmic Academy (CMRA)

Over the last three years with CMRA, she has trained 15 hours per week, alongside her studies, competed at various events across the UK, achieving 2nd at the Scottish Open for hoop and 3rd in ball. In 2019 she qualified for the National Grades Finals as an individual. This placed her as one of the leading Rhythmic Gymnasts in the UK and she will again compete at Grades Finals in 2020 as an individual as well as at the British Open.

Her success has seen Caitlin be selected as a member of the GBR Senior Group Squad – training is now 18.5 hours per week and the group are working towards representing GBR in the European and World Championships as part of the British Gymnastics Pathway.  She has trained at Lillishall National Sports Centre with Kamelia Dunavska, ex Bulgarian Rhythmic gymnast and renowned group coach.

Great work Caitlin!
