Higher Education & Careers

The principle aim of any school must surely be to find the perfect University course, Apprenticeship and career path for every single student to ensure their future happiness and success.

All Sixth Form students receive extensive careers and university advice throughout Years 12 and 13. This includes support from Mrs Hibberd, Head of Careers, Mr Oracz, Head of Sixth Form and the Sixth Form Pastoral Team.

Whilst careers education and advice is embedded throughout our whole curriculum for each year group it is in the Sixth Form that we reach the real business end of matters where we encourage our students to specialise further and seek work experience in their chosen field. Sixth Form are encouraged to build their CVs as most careers nowadays require work and other experience beyond A-level study.

There is also a biennial Higher Education Fair for students in Years 10 and above where students can find out more about a wide range of Universities.
