Nine of our Junior School staff members braved the elements and showed true grit, determination and resilience to overcome some challenging and extremely muddy obstacles, on Saturday, as they competed in the Muddy 5K at Preston’s Moor Park, in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Saturday night saw The Croston Theatre play host to a special Gala Concert, where we said a fond farewell and offered sincere thanks to our Music Maestro, Mr Millest.
Westholme’s History department received some fantastic news yesterday when they were informed they had been awarded the Gold Historical Association Quality Mark. The Quality Mark (QM) is an award that recognises the excellence of history provision in a school. The QM assesses and values the history provision of the teacher, their department and the school and what is being offered to young people.
On Saturday the Westholme Association Spring Fair was held at the Senior School, and there was a fantastic turn out again this year.

Yesterday we had the honour of welcoming Mike Haines from Global Acts of Unity to Westholme to give a moving and thought-provoking talk to Year 9 and 10 students, in the Croston Theatre.
The annual Westholme Association Family Quiz and Bingo Night was hosted at Blackburn Rugby Club once more.
Over the last two Friday evenings the ever popular 6-a-side Primary Schools’ Football Tournament took place under our floodlights on the all-weather pitch.
On Friday evening our Westholme community gathered to respectfully remember all these events and pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service of their countries.
