Home Economics trip

The Year 10 and Lower Sixth Form students visited the Dewlay Cheese Factory in Garstang. They had a factory tour followed by a delicious cheese tasting session. The trip concluded with a question and answer session led by Nick Kenyon, the Managing Director of the company. This gave the girls a fascinating insight into a locally sourced product.

Joining the students on the trip, was Mrs Jackie Smith, who retired from the Westholme School Food Technology Department lasy year, after 29 years of service. She really enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with all her past pupils’ news.
