Cooking Basics for University

Some of our Sixth Form students enjoyed a PSHEE lesson with a difference today. Our Head Chef, Matt Burke and Catering Manager, James Pate, from Thomas Franks hosted a ‘Cooking Basics for University’ session.

Students watched as Chef Matt demonstrated the first recipe of Chicken Curry. They looked on with interest as Matt diced the ingredients, before adding them to the pan to begin cooking.

Half of the students then set off to try their hand at their own curry whilst the remaining ones watched as Matt guided them through how to make Chicken Fajitas.

Before too long, delicious aromas filled the Food Preparation room and students were delighted with their efforts.
