David Bowie Exhibition at the V&A

Sixth form Textiles Trip to London

Eight Year 12 Textile students set off on a trip to London.   Their purpose was to see The David Bowie exhibition at the Victoria and Albert museum.   This features more than three hundred Bowie objects, including handwritten lyrics, original costumes, fashion, photography, film, music videos, set designs and Bowie’s own instruments.   It was an amazing experience as the students walked round with headphones which played his music or gave commentary of the features on display.   The students were particularly inspired by Bowie’s amazing stage costumes he had worn throughout his career.

The students  then had time for some important shop research/retail therapy at Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
