We were absolutely delighted to welcome back children’s author and illustrator, Debi Gliori, to our Infant School this afternoon. This event was in conjunction with our friends at Silverwood Events.
Debi Gliori is the creator of many wonderful books for children, including the ‘Mr Bear’ series, bestseller ‘No Matter What’, ‘The Trouble With Dragons’ and Stormy Weather.
She visited Billinge House this afternoon to talk to our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children about her new book, ‘The Bookworm’, which tells the tale of a young boy named Max, who is desperate for his parents to allow him to have a pet.
Our children listened to the story with great interest and especially enjoyed it when Debi drew pictures to bring the story to life! They were excited to meet Debi at the end of her talk and many of them had bought books to have them personally signed.
We want to thank Debi for taking the time to visit us again and to Elaine from Silverwood Events for hosting such a wonderful afternoon.
