Students and staff at Senior School have been treated to a fabulous array of performances to mark the end of term.
Tributes to our staff leavers were interspersed amongst excerpts from Chicago, an impromptu Karaoke number and of course, the much anticipated staff entertainment. We also welcomed back to the stage two former students, Emily Jones and Liz Long, who sang their own personal tribute items for Mr Millest.
Singing Nuns, personally penned songs, lively dance routines – it had it all! The audience were royally entertained. A particular highlight was Josh Dodding’s performance of the John Lennon song, Imagine, where he had cleverly altered the lyrics to contain memories of Mr Millest.
Thank you to all performers for making the final day such a wonderful one.
Of course we couldn’t let the end of term pass us by without wishing our staff leavers a fond farewell. Presentations were made to Miss Suleman, Mr Desai, Mr Patrick and last but certainly not least, our Music Maestro, Mr Millest. After 29 (and a third!) years at Westholme, he gave a moving final speech, offering sound words of advice to all students. He received a standing ovation as he left the stage before Mrs Horner said, “thank you for the music!”.
