Westholme holds a Fairtrade Tuck Sale
There was particular excitement at breaktime in the Senior School’s dining hall today as Kath Greenleas from Christian Aid came to sell Fairtrade chocolates and other goodies to pupils and staff.
Today’s Fairtrade sale is just one in a series of events planned as part of Westholme’s aim to become a Fairtrade School. The Student Council has set up a Fairtrade steering group to co-ordinate everyone’s efforts: there has been an audit on Westholme’s involvement in Fairtrade and the pupils have held assemblies to highlight its importance. This year, Year 11’s end of year hoodies are being made from Fairtrade cotton.
