Gold practice Duke of Edinburgh expedition
This Easter, 11 Lower Sixth form students completed their Gold practice DofE expedition and endured the most changeable weather conditions Misss Incerti has ever seen in 20 years of DofE!
Temperatures ranged from 22°C on the warmest day to -5°C with wind chill factor, accompanied by snow and sleet on the coldest morning. On the final day, gale force winds necessitated a change of route to avoid being blown from mountain paths.
The students showed incredible persistence and resilience during this ‘character-building’ experience. They have been well-prepared for their final expedition in Scotland, this summer.
Well done to them all!
