Westholme’s German Exchange visitors
On Monday 8th July, Westholme welcomed its first group of German exchange visitors. Thirteen pupils from the Hildegardis-Schule in Hagen, accompanied by two teachers, one of whom used to be a German Assistant at Westholme, arrived in school. Their Westholme partners waited nervously for them and many pupils came to see what all the fuss was about and to form a welcoming committee.
Herr Schmidt requested a visit to Blackpool with the group and other visits included Liverpool and Chester. English partners joined the German visitors for what turned out to be a very interesting visit to the historic city. The German visitors were amazed by the professionalism of the school production, Miss Saigon. At the end of their visit, Westholme was invited to Germany next year.
