Going to the zoo, zoo, zoo …

Year 7’s trip to Chester Zoo

Why are zebras born with long legs?

How does a Madagascan hissing cockroach avoid predators?

Why does a giraffe have patterned skin?

Year 7 pupils were able to find out the answers to these questions and lots more when they spent a sunny day at Chester Zoo, studying the adaptations of animals to their environment.   The visit was described by many of the pupils as ”˜the best trip ever’.
