Congratulations to former Westholme student Jessica, who has been nominated for Young Person of the Year at the I Love MCR Awards 2023. This award recognises remarkable young people from Greater Manchester and their exceptional achievements, efforts and the impacts that they have made on their community. This is a fantastic achievement in itself just to be nominated and we can’t wait to hear the results and how she gets on when the results are announced in November.
A talented golfer who played at county level, Jessica set up her own luxury golf sportswear brand ‘She Swings’ whilst recovering from an injury which unfortunately put an end to her aspirations of playing professional golf. She enrolled at Myerscough College and University to study for a Bachelor’s Degree in Golf Management and launched her first her first ever collection, designing the garments herself, shortly after at the age of 21.
She Swings continues to grow, and with her social media accounts now reaching tens of thousands of followers, she continues have aspirations of turning the brand into a household name.
