Harvest Festival

Junior Schools celebrate at their Harvest Festival

The Junior Schools hosted their annual Harvest Festival at St Silas’ Church, on a beautiful, sunny afternoon. The service began with Canon Ranson welcoming everyone, and explaining the meaning of Harvest. He also thanked the children for the many gifts of food that they had presented to him during the opening hymn.

The afternoon was a wonderful celebration of all things harvest, which included children’s poetry, traditional and favourite Harvest time hymns, and wonderful songs performed by the pupils.

Canon Ranson concluded the service with a blessing, before the congregation departed into the beautiful afternoon sunshine.
