The children in Year 2 have been enjoying exploring the contents of their latest Lancashire Museum Loan Box.
They looked at various items from the 17th Century and tried hard to work out who might have used them and what they were used for.
The teachers then revealed that all the artefacts were in fact – medical items!
The Quack doctor arrived and showed Year 2 some of the rather horrific ways of curing the plague!

More than anything, Westholme taught me to be fearless in my aspirations. It was an environment which encouraged me to stay true to myself, and to treasure and cultivate my creativity.
I think that it is extremely important that people aim for the best and keep their aspirations for the future high. Aspirations and dreams are hugely motivating.
