House Christmas Entertainments

That’s Entertainment!

The Christmas House entertainments on the last day of the Autumn term is always a hotly contested affair, and this year was no exception!   We were delighted to welcome back Old Girl judges representing their former House: Emma Watts, Claudia Fogarty, Anna Davies and Fiona Kinloch.

This year’s entertainment came in the form of Longridge’s Annie, Pendle’s The Lion King, Bowland’s Wicked and Calder’s Grease.   There were some outstanding comic performances from each of the productions, with some very sharp wit!   A fantastic amount of effort goes into these plays by the House Officers, and it was much appreciated by a loud, excited audience!

The judges retired to deliberate and, after much discussion a vote was taken.   The House Entertainment Trophy for 2012 was awarded to Pendle for their adaptation of The Lion King.
