Talking Angela App
‘Talking Angela’, is an app and something many of our children may have used. We would like to stress to you that this is classed as ‘unsafe’ and we have recommended that all pupils delete it from their devices. Children using the app are involved in live conversations with an unknown person (animated as a cat on the app), who often asks questions about their personal details. It is also possible that they are able to use the webcam or camera on the device to watch the child as they chat. We would urge you to talk to your child about any websites or apps they are using, but in particular please delete ‘Talking Angela’ if it is on any devices at home.
Please note that there is an app called ‘Talking Tom’, which is something quite different and is safe for the children to use.
