Mrs Croston officially opens the Billinge House Jubilee Garden
Children at the Billinge House Gardening Club were excited to attend the official opening ceremony of their Jubilee Garden yesterday.
Over the past 2 years, the children have been helping to clear the land and plant new seeds and today, the fruits of their labour were on show for all to see.
Mrs Croston and Richmond Bear were given the honour of declaring the garden officially open. Once the red ribbon had been cut, the children excitedly ran through the garden, weaving under branches and hopping on the stepping stones as they explored their wonderful work.
Afterwards, everyone went inside for a special Jubilee Garden tea party where they enjoyed cakes, chocolate fingers and orange juice. What a lovely way to keep the Jubilee spirit alive.
