Year 4 trip to Chester
The Year 4 Girls and Boys went on a trip to Chester. They rowed a Roman galley and walked down a Roman street complete with market stalls and baths. They also walked the streets of Roman Chester (DEWA) with a real-life centurion, who told them all about life for 25 years as a soldier in the Roman Army.
Afterwards, the children played in the hands on room where they could dress up as Romans. They also discovered more about the role of archaeologists. What a great day of learning!
