A magnificent afternoon of Cross Country at the picturesque Sedbergh Prep School in Cumbria.
Arriving in plenty of time, we had the chance to walk the demanding course beforehand and plot our running lines through the mud. It was also a great warm up for us.
The U9 Boys started first and shot off from the start as they attempted to get to the front before the route narrowed at the first bridge. Some determined running saw them all finish the course, having all tried their hardest. Henry and Joseph finished a credible 15th and 17th respectively out of 71 runners.
The U11 Boys were next and all tried as hard as they could round the demanding course. They enjoyed splashing through the mud and everyone finished with a smile on their faces (eventually)!
Our U13 Boys had a tough time over the longest distance and all ran with real grit and determination. Credit to Jonny Brindle who finished 17th overall and helped the team to a 6th place finish in the team event.
And finally, a tremendous effort all round from the U13 girls, with each and every one of them heroically coming in towards the front to help the team. Lara finished 3rd in an epic race, Eva 15th, Eadie 17th, Kate 20th and Amelia 21st to win the team trophy. What an amazing result and huge credit to all the team for such a magnificent effort and performance to take the trophy home with us.
We are extremely proud of all our runners in this event as every single one of them put their heart and soul into their run.
