EPR Upper Sixth students pause for reflection
Miss Worthington and Miss Collins took the Upper Sixth EPR students to Heysham to build a labyrinth on the beach. The girls marked out their labyrinth in the sand using seaweed and shells and then walked the winding journey to the centre. This ancient symbol, linked to rites of passage, was used to give the girls time to reflect on the threshold they are about to cross as they leave Westholme and embark on their university careers. The girls also enjoyed sharing food and toasting marshmallows around the campfire as they reminisced about their school memories. Students said they had a fantastic time and that it will be a lasting memory for them.
