Year 1 pupils learn to write without sight
This week Year 1 have been learning about their sense of sight and what it would be like if they lost it. They found out about Louis Braille and used their fingers to feel the raised dots in a Braille book.
Following the Braille alphabet, Year 1 wrote their names in Braille, looking carefully at the pattern of dots for each letter.
The children also enjoyed taking part in a blindfold obstacle course with the help of a white stick and a friend for guidance. An action packed week of learning!
