Little Voices After School Programme

Westholme are delighted to be working with Little Voices to provide children from our Junior School with an After School programme of Musical Theatre lessons and LAMDA exams.

National Award-Winning Little Voices builds confidence and nurtures talent through inspirational education in music and drama for children aged 4-18 years.

The skills acquired through music and drama go way beyond performance. It is the things that children learn through these subjects that they can transfer into other areas, life skills like eye contact, posture, breathing, handling nerves and anxiety, effective communication with the spoken word, good diction and pronunciation. These skills not only help children with their academic development, but research time and time again demonstrates that these skills also help with success later in life.

With only a maximum of 8 pupils in a Little Voices lesson, it is the perfect balance between individual attention to each child and building teamwork skills. The tutors get to know each child, fabulous friendships are built and with a fun, creatively stimulating environment, success can be seen in all areas of a young person’s life.

Little Voices highly trained and experienced tutors focus on a child being happy because then their confidence soars. The lessons facilitate development vocally, dramatically, personally and socially.

Every child follows a LAMDA syllabus. Although LAMDA exams already take place at Westholme Junior School, Little Voices exams are in Group Musical Theatre Lessons which is an additional qualification for Westholme Junior Pupils. Lessons take place during the week after school. The After School lessons make it convenient for parents.

Their 100% pass rate with LAMDA and the benefits that the exams give, provide every child with huge lifelong benefits. Building a child’s CV from a young age in a fun way, whilst giving confidence and many skills for life. Drama and music really are the foundations for life.
