On September 20th the Lower Sixth Geography students went to Manchester for a day to study and see for themselves the impacts of regeneration on old housing and docklands areas.
They were practising skills required for their non-examined assessment (coursework) and testing out some hypotheses to suit the topic of changing places.
The students looked at an area of terraced housing with and without regeneration funding to see what difference it can make and then went to Salford quays to see how Media city and the surrounding area affects people’s perception of space and the implications of that.
