Eight mountain bikers from Years 7 to 10 woke early on the 25th of May to head to North Wales.
They spent the day riding the purpose built trails of Coed Llandegla and were lucky enough to enjoy dry conditions and glorious sunshine.
All the students made great progress with their mountain biking skills and are already keen for another trip back to Wales with their bikes. Thank you to Dr Watson for organising this trip. What a superb experience for everyone.
Westholme helped to prepare me for my path into politics – my time at the school gave me the knowledge and the confidence that I could achieve anything. Anything at all!
Westholme helped me to understand that in life hard work always beats natural talent. So, everywhere I go now I always make sure I’m working harder than my competition – this allows me to achieve my dreams.
At Westholme I was taught that no dream was too big. We were encouraged to aim for the stars, which I did and succeeded! Knowing I had their constant support even to this day, anything was possible.
At Westholme, aspirations were encouraged strongly, along with a clear ethos that working hard was the way to achieve them. It’s an attitude that has been incredibly positive for me.
More than anything, Westholme taught me to be fearless in my aspirations. It was an environment which encouraged me to stay true to myself, and to treasure and cultivate my creativity.
I think that it is extremely important that people aim for the best and keep their aspirations for the future high. Aspirations and dreams are hugely motivating.
