On Monday, Vision Linens’ Group Retail Director Warren Gell visited Westholme, to talk with our INSPIRED Sixth Form students studying Business and Economics. Mr Gell focused on brand and sales strategy, and how to overcome business issues whilst growing a business. The presentation was held in the LRC and included other Senior students as well.
Students were engaged and enjoyed the talk throughout, listening carefully to the words of advice and valuable business insight that Mr Gell was sharing with them, alongside his business knowledge and expertise. Afterwards, Mr Gell admitted he was pleasantly surprised by the long queue of students who gathered to speak to him with a range of specific questions relating to marketing, manufacturing, and how to scale a business.
Warren said, “I was very impressed with the interest and response I received and I’m encouraged to see a generation of entrepreneurs in the making.” Having been invited back by Head of Business & Economics Mr Zourmand to do another talk, Warren said ‘I can’t wait!’ Supporting local schools and colleges is important to Vision as we believe that sharing our knowledge and real-life experiences in the textile industry really fuels a fire in the next generations.
Thank you to Warren for coming in, and giving us a valuable insight into the running of a business!
