Westholme Swimmers compete in the English Schools’ National Swimming Finals

On Saturday 6^th February, the Westholme Junior Relay teams travelled to Coventry Leisure Centre for the National Schools’ Swimming Championships.  The team, made up of Megan Davis, Lucy Davis, Abi Beardmore, Florrie Slater and Sally Yates, qualified for the National Finals back in November in Birkenhead where they gained the 11^th fastest time in the country for the Medley Relay and the 12^th fastest for the Freestyle Relay.  This is the first time that Westholme has ever qualified for both relays, and the first time that Miss Entwistle has taken a Junior team to the Nationals.

The Westholme swimmers performed exceptionally throughout the whole competition, consistently giving 100% effort.  They finished in a creditable 13^th place in the Freestyle Relay and an amazing 10^th in the Medley Relay.
